Urlaub + Kulturprogramm, ach NEEEEE!
Holiday + Cultural Program, oh NOOOOO!
How it all began: my birthday was coming up and as usual my parents were surching for a gift. After short
time thinking about, voilà: a travel voucher. Until this time, I spend most of my summer holidays, nearly
always taking place in October, relaxing at the beach in Tunisia and this was, what I was planing this year
too. But everything changed.
auf dem Gutschein stand: 7 Tage Nilkreuzfahrt + 1 Woche Hurghada
this is, what was written on the voucher: 7 day Nile cruise + 1 week Hurghada
Flieger.
Oh no, was the first thing coming to my mind. Being on holiday, lerning and thinking, listen to expla-
nations and gaze at "old stones" really does not have to happen to me. And so the day came up, I got on
the plane with very mixed feelings and my mom.
Genau
But already at Luxor Airport everything was changing. Egyptian air for me has a different special smell.
And it does't matter, if it is at Luxor, Cairo or Hurghada. Maybe you know this: summertime at the seaside
and wintertime in the mountains and when someone is asking you: what do you like the best, you are not
able to find an answer. That's exactly, how i feel about the different places in Egypt, the never sleeping
busy Cairo, relaxation at Hurghada or the oriental-ancient in Upper Egypt. And no matter, where you are,
you always feel being welcome and friendly accommodated.
